Marc Marquez rises to victory in Germany
Reigning World champion Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) rose to victory in Sachsenring, Germany with a strong performance throught the weekend.
Marquez made a good start from pole but it Yamaha´s Jorge Lorenzo who stunned Marquez and Pedrosa to get ahead into C1 and taking the lead.
World championship leader Valentino Rossi on the Yamaha made a decent start from 6th on the grid to get with the leading trio after disposing Iannone of the Ducati.
The top 4 riders parted away from the rest of field with Lorenzo leading followed by Marquez, Pedrosa & Rossi.
On lap 5 soon after Rossi overtaking Pedrosa for 3rd, Marquez dived into the lead overtaking Lorenzo and instantly flying away.
Lorenzo, Rossi & Pedrosa were unable to stay with Marquez and were involved in their own race.
Rossi attacked his team mate & championship contendor Lorenzo on Lap 6 and they both went neck to neck for the next few corners with Lorenzo taking back his position but Rossi made the move stick in the next lap moving into 2nd.
Pedrosa in the Honda started to get back in shape and got ahead of Lorenzo and got behind Rossi.
Rossi defended his position till lap 16 but Pedrosa bettered Rossi and got into 2nd behind his team mate Marquez. Rossi tried to stay with Pedrosa and they both managed a gap to Lorenzo in 4th.
Rossi tried his hard to get ahead of Pedrosa in the final laps but the Honda rider had few tenths on his pocket and managed to break away from Rossi.
Marquez won with a 4sec gap after a series of bad races since Round 2 in Austin with Pedrosa grabbing 2nd and making Repsol Honda 1-2 after a domination by Yamaha.
Rossi managed to extend his championship lead to 13 points from his team mate Lorenzo.
